Who is Queenie?

You had to ask……

Queenie is a magnificent creature, but humble.  She is an ageless woman, of indomitable spirit, who has been around the block a few times.  She is old enough to have had certifiable experience, but there may be some who think she is certifiable.  She’d like to say, in the words of one her favorite movies, that she is “Bona Fide.”  Her favorite thing to do in life is to have Fun, but that does not mean that she is Irresponsible.  She seems to be falling into the familiar paths of her heroines such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Katharine Hepburn, who were well noted for suffering no fools.  Queenie finally had quite enough suffering anything having to do with fools, and that would include herself.   Queenie has discovered that life is short, and she has lived long enough and learned enough to not stand in the bulldookey line ever again.  And that simply, there’s fun to be had.  If you can manage to have fun while living a responsible life, then you’ve pretty much managed to seize the dream.

Queenie would tell you to say YES to Life, but that there are indeed times when you need to say No, or No More.  And while she’s not exactly a 12 Stepper, she thinks that life is for dancing, and that there’s wisdom and joy to be found even while two-stepping.  It doesn’t hurt to pass on what help you can to those who need it, but you also have to comprehend that you can’t help those who are not willing to accept it, and help themselves.  If you’re reading this, there’s hope for you.

Welcome to the world of Queenie, and please know that there are miracles abounding, if you but open your heart, believe, and say YES!  And be willing to righteously live this life you’ve been given.  And say Thank You.
